Nicola Coughlan, star of Derry Girls and Bridgerton, will lead I Am Helen, the fourth instalment of Channel 4's BAFTA-winning I Am anthology series.
I Am Helen follows the success of the previous I Am films, which explore the personal experiences of different women. The anthology became one of Channel 4's most successful new drama projects in August 2019, when Vicky McClurestarred in I Am Nicola. Samantha Morton went on to star in I Am Kirsty, before Gemma Chan led I Am Hannah.

The second series proved just as successful, with the formidable Suranne Jones starring in the BAFTA-nominated I Am Victoria and Lesley Manville appearing in I Am Maria.
The Derry Girls and Big Mood actress is thrilled with her new role, saying: "It's an absolute honour to be part of telling the next I Am story alongside Dominic Savage - a singular talent and a storyteller deeply committed to exploring the breadth of the female experience. To follow in the footsteps of the brilliant women who've collaborated with him on this series feels truly surreal, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be embarking on this journey."

The I Am anthology is produced by Me+You Productions and executive produced by Krishnendu Majumdar, Dominic Savage, Richard Yee and Gemma Boswell. The series is co-funded by Sky Studios and distributed by NBCUniversal Global Distribution.
I Am Helen will air on Channel 4 later this year. Transmission details will be announced in due course.
